The Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP), Alaska’s leading clean energy nonprofit, wanted to better communicate their mission and impact with various stakeholders through a new website.

These target audiences ranged from schools to rural communities to state governments and donors.

Finding creative solutions

Instead of building a new website, Brilliant Marketing recommended developing REAP’s brand story first. This would help them pinpoint their unique value proposition while increasing the effectiveness of their new website and communications strategy.

Through a brand workshop, we helped create a brand playbook which included a concise messaging framework and new design elements. This included the new tagline "Powering Alaska's Clean Energy Future." The website content and design was created from the brand playbook to create a comprehensive look and feel. A marketing strategy and content plan was created to inform ongoing communication efforts. Now, Brilliant Marketing provides ongoing support developing REAP’s blogs, email marketing, social media and campaigns.

A successful increase in engagement

Through our work, we’ve helped REAP to better tell their story and value to donors, stakeholders and community members. In less than a year, organic search to their website increased by over 215% due to a new website and consistent storytelling content. Instagram followers also increased by 75% in less than a year due to engaging and consistent posts.
