Cascade Water Alliance, dedicated to providing clean, safe, and reliable drinking water, serves the growing population of King County, Washington.
Their mission is to ensure sustainable and cost-effective water management by fostering partnerships, promoting conservation, and strategically overseeing water supply infrastructure.
Expanding Reach and Promoting Water Conservation
Cascade Water Alliance aimed to increase their reach and promote their message of its water conservation program, We Need Water, through a more strategic marketing approach. Our work included:
Analysis + Goal Planning: Brilliant Marketing began working on the project by providing a comprehensive review and analysis of Cascade's needs and goals.
Personas + Research: We created target audience personas by conducting research with their target audience through in-depth interviews and surveys to gain a deeper understanding of their needs, wants, and the best ways to reach them.
Brand Messaging: Then we developed new brand messaging that would resonate with the personas and explain the program.
Marketing Strategy + Social Media Plan: Finally, we crafted a tailored marketing plan to boost social media presence and engagement. This plan included the launch of the 'We Need Water' podcast, which served as a direct communication channel with the community, sharing vital information on water stewardship.
Effective Marketing Strategy and Social Media Management

Brilliant Marketing's efforts extended to managing and creating content for Cascade's social media platforms including paid ads. High-quality, engaging content was consistently shared on Instagram and Facebook, significantly increasing Cascade's online presence and follower engagement. In addition to social media management, Brilliant Marketing collaborated with Cascade on their sponsorship of the Northwest Flower and Garden Festival, providing an excellent platform to promote water conservation to a broader audience. The cohesive marketing strategy, developed in collaboration with Cascade's partners, ensured the 'We Need Water' campaign's message was amplified across multiple channels.

Most recently, we developed the brand identity for Cascade's grass removal rebate program, Turf Out, and created the Turf Out Guide, a step-by-step guide for homeowners to remove their grass.

Today we continue to work with Cascade Water Alliance, executing on our marketing strategy for We Need Water, which includes running their social media channels, developing content and graphic design for the newsletter, SMS, podcast, and running advertising campaigns in the Seattle Times and on Meta.
